Role Overview

As part of the Binance Accelerator Program, the Java Engineer will contribute to the Web3 Wallet team, building backend services that power wallet features and integrations. This role involves close collaboration with product, security, and frontend teams to deliver robust, production-grade systems that support millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Backend development - Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Java services for wallet and Web3 integrations.
• System design - Participate in architecture, design reviews, and scalability planning for backend components.
• Integration - Integrate blockchain nodes, off-chain services, and third-party providers into wallet workflows.
• Reliability and performance - Optimize services for latency, throughput, and cost, and implement observability and alerting.
• Security and compliance - Follow security best practices, support audits, and collaborate with security teams on mitigations.
• Collaboration - Work with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver features end to end, and mentor peers where applicable.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and building backend services in production.
• Familiarity with Web3 concepts, blockchain wallets, or crypto integrations.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration, for example Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and operating services on cloud platforms such as AWS or similar.
• Solid understanding of Linux-based systems, networking, and service observability.
• Good software engineering practices, including testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams.
