Full-Stack Java + React Technical Leader at BairesDev

Overview

BairesDev is hiring a Full-Stack Java + React Technical Leader to join a distributed team of expert engineers. You will provide technical leadership, design cloud architectures based on distributed services, and drive implementation across backend Java and frontend React modules. This is a 100% remote role that allows you to work from anywhere while collaborating with global teams.

About the role

As a Technical Leader you will propose innovative solutions, own the technical design of platform modules, mentor engineers, lead CI/CD and code review practices, and implement monitoring and alerting architectures. You will participate in cloud architecture design, development, integration, and evaluate new technologies to recommend improvements.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud architectures based on distributed services.
• Technically own platform modules, including design, development, and integration for backend and frontend components.
• Write clean, robust code for Java backend and React frontend components.
• Implement monitoring and alerting architectures and technologies.
• Lead continuous integration processes and enforce code review best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
• Perform research and development to evaluate new technologies and communicate their value to the company.
• Guide teams through complex technical environments and client engagements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Java and React development.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and collaborative delivery.
• Deep understanding of development patterns and Java architectures.
• Strong experience in cloud architecture and distributed services design.
• Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and observability practices.
• Proven experience developing and integrating large-scale applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code review processes.
• Strong leadership skills in task allocation, risk identification, decision-making, and project planning.
• Native Spanish level and advanced English proficiency.

Preferred qualities

• Advanced understanding of trade-offs when choosing technologies or solutions.
• Experience leading client and stakeholder technical meetings and communicating complex concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, and to drive technical excellence.
