About the role

Join Buffer's newly established Value-Led Growth team as a Senior Product Engineer focused on frontend growth work. You will work closely with product, design, and other engineers to build performant, accessible, and scalable features that drive growth. This is a senior, full-time role on a remote, distributed team that meets in person once or twice per year for team gatherings.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement frontend features that directly impact growth metrics and user experience.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Ship high quality, well tested code and participate in code reviews to maintain engineering standards.
• Ensure high accessibility and SEO standards are met across public and product-facing pages.
• Contribute to performance and reliability improvements across the frontend stack.
• Mentor other engineers and help shape engineering practices on the Growth team.

Helpful skills and experience

• Proven experience as a frontend engineer at a product-focused company, with a portfolio of shipped work.
• Deep knowledge of modern JavaScript and frontend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of accessibility best practices and SEO principles for web apps.
• Experience working on growth or metrics-driven product teams is a plus.
• Comfort working asynchronously on a distributed team and traveling occasionally for in-person meetings.

Competitive salary

The salary range for this role is $156,500 - $202,300 and the role includes equity opportunities.

Work remotely

Buffer is fully distributed and hires globally. You will be expected to collaborate remotely, and occasional travel to in-person gatherings is encouraged to deepen team connections.
