The Role

We are hiring a Crypto Operations Associate to join our 100% distributed Crypto team. Reporting to the Global Director of Crypto Operations, you will own daily monitoring and surveillance, trading operations, onboarding assistance, account reconciliation, and support for the Anti-Money Laundering program. This role requires strong attention to detail, operational ownership, and the ability to drive improvements to policies, tools and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for daily monitoring and surveillance of customer activity.
• Handle daily operational tasks including trading, new accounts, and cash management functions.
• Manage cryptocurrency trading executions and exceptions, including errors and corrections.
• Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC and account approvals.
• Review general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and reconcile accounts.
• Support the Anti-Money Laundering program and investigations arising from suspected suspicious activity.
• Proactively propose and drive impactful changes across workflows, policies, and tooling.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners in an effective, tactical and insightful manner.
• Perform ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a global remote position with core working hours around 9am to 5pm Pacific Time. The Crypto team is fully distributed and remote, and the role expects an 8-hour workday following US market holidays for time-off scheduling.

Who You Are - Must Haves

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading, or cryptocurrency operations role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or a strong desire to learn quickly.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Adaptability to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment.
• Ownership mentality and enthusiasm for supporting customers and growing the platform.

Nice to Have

• Startup mindset and experience in a high-growth environment.
• Interest or background in FinTech, financial markets, cryptocurrencies, or investing applications.
