Role Overview

Phantom is hiring a Director of Brand Creative to lead our visual identity, storytelling, and campaign execution across product, marketing, partnerships, and social. You will set the creative vision and standards, manage a team of brand and motion designers, and produce high-impact work that makes crypto feel trustworthy, aspirational, and approachable to mainstream audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Creative strategy - Define and evolve Phantom's brand creative strategy to differentiate the product in crypto and consumer finance.
• Team leadership - Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing brand creative team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Campaign production - Oversee creative development for product launches, go-to-market campaigns, brand activations, and multi-channel content.
• Brand governance - Build and enforce brand guidelines to ensure visual and verbal consistency across product, marketing, and communications.
• Cross-functional partnership - Work with marketing, product, comms, and leadership to align creative with business objectives and user insights.
• Cultural relevance - Drive culturally relevant, breakthrough creative that builds trust while making crypto accessible to broader audiences.
• Measurement and iteration - Use performance data and feedback to refine creative strategy and optimize impact at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of brand creative and design leadership experience, ideally in consumer finance, fintech, crypto, or consumer tech.
• Proven track record building brands and leading cross-channel campaigns with measurable results.
• Experience managing and scaling creative teams and production processes.
• Expertise across brand identity, digital, motion, campaign, and content design.
• Strong cultural awareness and ability to translate trends into relevant creative work.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to inspire teams and executive stakeholders.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
• Crypto-native mindset or strong interest in decentralized ecosystems is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience in crypto, fintech, or a related startup environment.
• Proven experience producing large-scale campaigns and managing agency or production partners.

Compensation

The target base salary range for this role is $220,000 to $250,000 USD, plus equity and benefits. Final offer depends on experience, location, and other factors.

Work Model

This is a fully remote role with flexibility to travel for company offsites and in-person collaboration as needed. Phantom supports a distributed work model while investing in periodic team gatherings.
