Senior Data Scientist I at Dandy

Overview

Dandy is hiring a Senior Data Scientist I to focus on Go-To-Market (GTM) analytics. You will be the analytical engine behind top-of-funnel strategy, partnering closely with Marketing and Sales Development to optimize how we attract, engage, and convert new customers. This role owns data science initiatives that drive marketing efficiency, improve lead quality, and deepen our understanding of the ideal customer.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain lead scoring models to prioritize sales efforts and surface high-intent prospects.
• Analyze marketing campaign performance and develop models to optimize spend and improve efficiency across channels.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses of the marketing and sales funnel to identify conversion bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Partner with Revenue Operations to enhance data infrastructure and build a robust measurement framework for all GTM activities.
• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to marketing and sales leadership to inform strategy and tactics.

Who you are

• 4+ years of experience in data science or analytics with a focus on marketing, sales, or GTM analytics.
• Strong understanding of the B2B marketing and sales funnel.
• Excellent SQL and Python skills.
• High ownership and autonomy, with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and statistical skills.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver value in cross-functional settings.

Bonus points if

• Experience working with B2B sales pipeline and revenue data at companies like Shopify, Amazon, Uber, Lyft, Instacart, or similar.
• Strong customer empathy, particularly for dentists.
• Experience converting vague business problems into statistically rigorous analyses and solutions, such as causal inference or predictive modeling.
• Interest in working and learning at an earlier stage company where fundamentals are still evolving.
• Experience with Looker, Hex, dbt, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated success building models for lead scoring, funnel optimization, marketing mix modeling, or attribution.
