Role Overview

We are seeking Contract Senior Front-End Engineers to join our contractor pool. These contractors will work on large-scale modular applications and bring art direction to life on the web with a focus on performance, accessibility, maintainability, and visual refinement. Fueled is intentionally remote, spanning six continents and 40 countries, and offers flexible and alternative work schedules for this contract role.

What you will do

• Develop large-scale modular applications using advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build highly componentized UI systems and coded style guides for scalable front-end architectures.
• Deliver high quality implementations that prioritize performance, accessibility, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Provide thorough code reviews and collaborate with design and engineering teams to solve complex problems with elegant solutions.
• Translate art direction into production-ready front-end code that reaches millions of users.

About you

• Expert in cross-browser and cross-device front-end engineering, with strong skills in crafting custom UI components in React or WordPress block editor stacks.
• Portfolio of real-world code samples demonstrating technical ability; GitHub links encouraged and live coding interviews are not required.
• Comfortable communicating with clients and internal teams to present technical ideas clearly.
• Experienced building coded style guides and component systems that scale across projects.
• Self-directed and effective as a fully remote contributor, able to engage and collaborate across distributed teams.

Contractor fee

Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, project scope, geographic location, and business needs. Specific fee information is provided during the contracting process.
