We are hiring a Product Designer to own and improve experiences for both clients and lawyers, helping deliver simple, humane, and effective product flows across our platform.

The job

As a Product Designer at Atticus you will own user experience end-to-end for key product areas. You will conduct research to deeply understand clients and lawyers, design elegant user flows and interactions, partner closely with engineers to ship high quality solutions, and contribute to design systems and processes that scale as the team grows. This is a high-impact role with significant ownership and opportunity to shape product and design culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship user flows and experiences that drive acquisition, engagement, and conversion for client and lawyer audiences.
• Plan and conduct generative and evaluative user research to build empathy and validate design decisions.
• Own testing and continuous improvement through metrics, qualitative research, and A/B testing.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create scalable systems and consistent design patterns.
• Provide and receive feedback to elevate design craft across the organization, including visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Balance product vision with practical implementation to move quickly without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product design experience as an in-house designer, ideally in consumer or marketplace products.
• A strong portfolio showing elegant, visually engaging solutions that solve complex user problems across flows and interactions.
• Experience working closely with product, engineering, and other designers in a fast-paced environment.
• Structured approach to design using frameworks, research, and principles to explain design choices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Strong visual design skills, which may include illustration, branding, typography, motion, and animation.
• Experience with early-stage startups, complex consumer products, two-sided marketplaces, or B2B products is a plus.

Location and work style

This role is fully remote - live wherever you are. The team values flexibility and remote collaboration, and occasional travel to Los Angeles for in-person collaboration will be covered by the company, typically between quarterly and yearly.
