Senior Engineering Manager at Phantom

Role Overview

Phantom is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and coach a full-stack engineering team working across web, mobile, backend, and data engineering. You will provide technical leadership, set roadmap direction in collaboration with founders and engineering peers, and help scale the team and systems that power a multi-chain self-custodial wallet used by millions.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coaching - Lead, mentor, and grow a high-output engineering team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Technical leadership - Serve as a thoughtful technical voice, supporting your team and the broader engineering organization in architecture and design decisions.
• Setting direction - Collaborate with engineers and founders to translate vision into a tangible roadmap and execution plan.
• Team building - Contribute to hiring and help build a culture that raises the bar with every new hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of professional engineering management experience with a proven track record leading high-performing teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Nice to have - 1+ years experience working on a blockchain-based product.

Compensation and Benefits

The target base salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $240,000 USD, plus equity and benefits. Total compensation depends on experience, interview performance, and location.
