Group Product Manager at Atticus
Job Description
About Atticus
At any given time, 16 million Americans are experiencing a crisis that requires urgent help from our legal system or government. The right assistance could transform their lives, but today most never get it. Atticus makes it easy for any sick or injured person in crisis to get the life-changing aid they deserve. Over the last six years we have become the leading platform connecting people with disabilities to government benefits, and we also help victims of accidents, misconduct, and violence get compensation from insurance. So far, we have helped thousands of people access over $4B in life-changing aid, and we have supported more than 110,000 people in need, backed by 13,000+ five-star reviews. We have raised over $100 million from top VC firms like Fika, Forerunner, GV (Google Ventures), and True Ventures, and we closed our Series C round in April 2025. Our team grew from 89 to over 151 last year, and we expect to grow again in 2025.
The Job
We are hiring a Group Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for critical parts of our platform. You will craft product visions, build roadmaps, collaborate closely with design and engineering, work with Data Science to inform model-driven decision-making, and own key company-level targets and metrics. This is a high-impact role at a mission-driven startup where your work will touch many lives.
Responsibilities
- Improve and expand frameworks to match clients to the best law firm in our network, accounting for case type, geography, client and firm preferences, and availability, and partner with Data Science to operationalize these models.
- Interview partner law firms to prioritize features, then partner with Design and Engineering to create roadmaps and wireframes for new product launches.
- Leverage call center and case data to optimize client outreach across channels and throughout the case lifecycle.
- Build a core data platform to support multiple verticals at varying scales, using model-driven decision-making and personalization throughout the funnel.
- Get to know our users, both clients and lawyers, and understand their needs deeply through research and user insights.
- Craft a product vision for our next phase of growth, go deep on strategy, and become an expert in our business model to inform your work.
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap and build alignment with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Work with Engineering and Design to build and ship products and features, acting as the conductor who coordinates and empowers others.
- Own key targets and metrics, collect and analyze data to drive company-level decision-making, propose hypotheses, run experiments, and iterate quickly.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience, building and shipping products at scale.
- Demonstrated success setting product vision and strategy, with the ability to explain key decisions and tradeoffs you made.
- Knowledge of best practices from past work in high-performing organizations, and the ability to instill a strong product culture as we grow.
- Excellent communication and people skills, evidenced by strong reviews from PMs, engineers, and designers you have worked with.
- Mastery of data platforms and the ability to perform your own analysis.
- A demonstrated commitment to doing good and helping people.
- Bonus: early-stage startup experience, especially with complex consumer businesses, two-sided marketplaces, and/or B2B products.
Salary and Benefits
This is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded startup with strong traction and many happy customers, while remaining small enough for you to have major impact and shape our culture. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to help people in need that drives everything we do.
We offer competitive pay, including equity, and generous benefits. Highlights include:
- Medical and dental insurance with 100% of employee premiums covered.
- 15 vacation days and approximately 19 paid holidays each year, including two weeks at the end of the year.
- Free membership to OneMedical.
- $600 per year reimbursable stipend for internet service.
- $1,000 reimbursable stipend for education and training outside of work.
- Up to $1,200 per year student loan repayment assistance.
- 401(k) and optional HSA/FSA.
- Equity participation.
- Humble, thoughtful, smart, fun colleagues, and company retreats and offsites to build culture.
Location and Work Style
This job is fully remote. We are committed to flexibility - live wherever and work remotely. You will travel to Los Angeles on the company dime as needed to be with colleagues, generally somewhere between quarterly and yearly, for retreats and other in-person interactions.
