Strategic Finance Lead at Atticus

Role Overview

Atticus is hiring a Strategic Finance Lead to help align capital, product, and operations as the company scales impact and revenue. You will work directly with the VP of Finance and leadership to shape financial plans, support capital raises and asset backed financing, analyze unit economics across business lines, and drive decisions that balance impact and profitability.

What You Will Do

• Financial strategy - Lead the development of financial plans to support ambitious growth targets, including raising and deploying capital and modeling long-term scenarios.
• Capital transactions - Own workstreams for transactions such as M&A, capital raises, or asset backed financing, coordinating due diligence, modeling, and execution.
• Unit economics - Analyze and optimize LTV, CAC, and other unit economics across practice areas such as Disability, Worker’s Comp, and Personal Injury.
• Cross-functional analysis - Partner with marketing, product, operations, and growth teams to quantify results, improve payment capture, and refine monetization and pricing approaches.
• Decision support - Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership, using rigorous financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Operational ownership - Improve financial processes, reporting, and dashboards to enable faster, data-driven decision making across the company.

Qualifications

• Transaction experience - Minimum 2 years of investment banking experience, ideally from a top-tier program or class.
• Startup finance - Minimum 2 years of experience in startups, growth equity, or similar environments with direct responsibility on capital or financial transactions.
• Execution track record - Experience owning workstreams on completed financial transactions such as capital raises or M&A.
• Financial mastery - Deep knowledge of financial statements, modeling, forecasting, and unit economics.
• Analytical mindset - Comfortable managing ambiguity, working with imperfect data, and producing rigorous analysis to inform strategic choices.
• Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex financial findings to leadership and partners.

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience in healthcare, legal tech, or mission-driven marketplaces.
• Experience with asset backed financing or structured capital solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated base salary band: $140,000 - $160,000 USD, plus equity and benefits. Atticus offers a comprehensive benefits package to support health, learning, and remote work.

Work Model

This role is fully remote. Atticus supports flexible remote work and occasional travel to Los Angeles for team gatherings as needed.
