Job Description
Overview
Dandy is hiring an Injection Mold Designer to join our rapidly growing, venture-backed team. The successful candidate will create precise 3D injection mold designs from denture designs submitted by dental practitioners. This role blends technical 3D modeling skills with dental domain knowledge and attention to manufacturability and turnaround time.
What you will do
- Design 3D injection molds using Blender with precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet project requirements and timelines.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability and resolve technical challenges that arise during production.
- Adhere to design specifications, quality standards, and established workflows to support high volume production.
What we are looking for
- Proficiency in Blender for 3D modeling and CAD workflows.
- Familiarity with dental design concepts is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high quality outputs.
- Ability to troubleshoot design issues patiently and methodically while working with cross functional teams.
- Good English communication skills to collaborate effectively.
Bonus points for
- Strong problem solving skills and excellent time management.
- Experience working independently as well as collaboratively on team projects.
Additional requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
- Patience and willingness to invest time in troubleshooting and iterative improvement.
